Can I scan a document created and printed from Survey Plus 2000 into ExpertScan?
Printed Survey Plus 2000 forms cannot be scanned using ExpertScan. Before converting Survey Plus 2000 forms and data to ExpertScan format, you should be sure to process all completed surveys that were originally created in Survey Plus 2000. Forms and data created in Survey Plus 2000 will be automatically converted to the new format when opened and saved in ExpertScan format. After converting your survey, you must print it from ExpertScan to use it with the ExpertScan program. Converting will not delete or overwrite your existing Survey Plus 2000 surveys or data.
How do I open a Survey Plus 2000 document in ExpertScan?
Open AutoData ExpertScan and from the File menu choose Open. At the bottom of the Open dialog box choose "Survey Files *.sur" from the "Files of Type" drop down box. Browse to the folder where your Survey Plus 2000 document (.sur file) resides and double click on the survey document you would like to open in ExpertScan. The document will appear on your screen. At this point you will want to save this document as an ExpertScan document. From the File menu select Save. After you have saved your document you will be prompted to import the data from the existing survey. Choose "Yes" if you would like to import over the existing data. When the data has been successfully imported over you will be able to view the reports.
How do I create a custom checkmark field?
Step 1: From the “Insert” menu select “Checkmark Field” and the “Checkmark Element Properties” dialog box will appear.
Step 2: Click the “Add New” button.
Step 3: The “Custom Response Editor” dialog box will appear on your screen with a section for “Responses Included In Scale” and “Responses Not Included In Scale”.
Step 4: Add the scaled responses to the “Responses Included In Scale” section. Note: If you include a non-scaled response such as “N/A” add this response to the “Responses Not Included In Scale” section. It is ok to add both scaled and non-scaled responses to a checkmark field.
Step 5: Give your response set a name in the “Response Set Name” text box.
Step 6: Click OK and a message box will appear asking if you want to save the changes you made. Click Yes.
Step 7: Type your question and click OK.
